Aqualetta is a design project completed within the University of A Coruņa that aimed to create an innovative product appealing to the public, that could fit into an existing market gap, and that was viable as a commercialized product.
Our design team was given total liberty, with no artificial restrictions so we could engage our full creativity into the design process. The resulting project needed to demonstrate engaging aesthetics, market feasibility and sound engineering practices.
The outcome of the project is Aqualetta, the first hybrid aquatic foldable reclining chair that offers a pedal propulsion system. This novel system affords Aqualetta both land mobility and water navigation capabilities.
